let me just say that 99.999999% of people who say they can hack are full of crap. gw or not. and gw is pretty resilient to hacks... so im guessing.... no hack. really.

Nobody can run at +33% with a relic without Windborne / Charge / Sprint / Stromchaser / anything else to buff his speed.

If this monk was really mesmer secondary, either he used illusion of haste when you weren't paying attention, or someone came near him and used "Charge !" (in which case he wouldn't have ran faster than your warriors). There's no hack in Guild Wars, and even if it's POSSIBLE to hack Anet servers, they would see it quickly.

There was probably an elementalist that you didn't see (I'll tell you a secret : there are also SECONDARY elementalists, and they can use Windborne too !).

For your warriors : bad armor (pve char haha), Frenzy or healing signet. Even with Weaken armor, you can't make 170dmg to a warrior with Eviscerate (unless he's got a crappy armor or is using frenzy / healing signet), cause his defense will still be around 75/80. Even with buffs like OoP and SoH I'm not sure it's possible...

This would be the first time I've ever seen anything like it so I wouldn't be suprised if it was some skill combo I missed. Anyways thanks for the comments nonetheless.

I don't know if this was posted yet, but here's how to do it. Sprint and Windborne stack onto each other when you're carrying an object (relic), so you run really really fast. It's a bug, and there's even a video of it being used.

As far as taking 170 damage, I haven't even seen my Ele take that much damage. Ever. And Ele's get pounded on a lot. Not too sure how that could happen.

Now for the speedup I agree with the folks posting about stacking buffs. Mo/Me probably used Illusion of Haste and got Windborn or Charge from a teammate. For everyone saying there's just no way to hack the servers: do a little research please. I seem to recall a program called Speedup (or something generic like that) that was supposed to increase the performance of games on your PC. Back when I played FFXI a lot, everyone thought it was also "hack proof" since they had a full year of play (plus beta!) in Japan. Turns out the American gamers found Speedup actually increased the run speed of your character in game. There was a big thing about it. Accounts got suspended and then banned, Square-Enix actually made a press announcement about it, and a few weeks later there was a large patch. Suddenly there were no more people running 100% faster.

Not exactly a hack per-se, more of an exploit, but cheating none the less.

Speedup has been modified and still works. Just no one is stupid enough to use it now. Not to mention you have to reboot your comp everytime you use it.

FFXI should have incorperated it. That is the slowest game ever. I have flashbacks sometimes of running for the airship at slower than ballsweat speed just in time for it take off as I'm inches away. That happened like just about all the time. Damn that game!

Ward against Foes + windborn?

as you see by the previous posters, the possibilities are there...
you'd need a movie to convince someone of hacking probably. and even then it will be hard....

Judges Insight will let Eviscerate do 170+damage to a warrior.

Holy Damage: 60 = armor by default
then with the +20% armor penetration they have 48 armor.
I'm not positive if strength is factored in here but I'm pretty sure, so assuming a strength at level 10, the target only is calculated to have 42 armor, regardless of what armor they are wearing. Thats an increase of roughly 30%.

This would easily account for 170 damage from Eviscerate. (Shame weaken armor doesn't affect holy damage )

There's also the possibilty that the original poster is making stuff up and/or confused.

i dont know if this is relavent but once in a gvg my monk in full forge armor took over 500 dmg from a warrior galrath slash.... didnt realize it was possible for ANY attack to deal so much dmg.........also like to say it was instant death from max to none. He sprinted towards me, ranger had him crippled but he still ran faster than i did, and then splat instant death, WTF happened???

Not understanding...why would it be a bug? You mean they're going faster than 33%?

EDIT: just found that video. Wow, gotta be a bug, the guy was moving at least 2 or 3 times faster than normal, while holding a relic no less...

windborne isnt a stance, so it stacks.
with windborne and dodge, you go 177% normal speed.
with windborne and normal 25% boost, 166%

sprint/other skills alone will go 125%

at least, mathematically
